Start by twisting the rear plate counterclockwise to detach it from the detector. Line up the two mounting holes with your ceiling and drill two holes 60mm apart. Secure the rear plate to the ceiling using the included anchors and screws. Insert two AA batteries (1.5V each), making sure the polarity (+/-) is correct. Then twist the detector clockwise onto the mounted plate until it clicks into place.

Yes — WiFi powers the real-time phone notifications and remote monitoring in the app. Once connected, Sirenova sends an alert to your smartphone the instant smoke is detected, so you're always in the loop, wherever you are.

That's a low-battery warning. You'll notice the red LED flash and hear a beep roughly once every 55 seconds. Swap in two fresh AA batteries as soon as you can to keep your protection uninterrupted.

Start by downloading the free "Smart Life" app on iOS or Android. Connect your phone to a 2.4GHz WiFi network and turn on Bluetooth, then press and hold the test button for 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing. Follow the in-app steps to add your device, enter your WiFi password, and finish setup — you'll be receiving alerts right after.
