Installation takes about five minutes. Twist the backplate counterclockwise to detach it, hold it against the ceiling, and mark the two screw holes (spaced 60 mm apart). Drill the holes, insert the included wall anchors, then screw the backplate in place. Pop in two AA 1.5V batteries (matching the +/- polarity), and finally twist the Sirenova body clockwise onto the mounted backplate until it clicks securely.
Yes — a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection is required for real-time phone notifications and remote monitoring through the Smart Life app. The siren will still sound locally during an alarm, but the WiFi link is what allows Sirenova to instantly push alerts to your smartphone when you’re away from home.
That single beep every 55 seconds — paired with a red LED flash — is the low-battery warning. Swap both AA batteries for fresh ones as soon as possible to keep your home continuously protected. We recommend name-brand alkaline batteries for the longest lifespan.
Start by downloading the free Smart Life app (available on iOS and Android). Make
sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network with Bluetooth turned on. Press
and hold the test button on Sirenova for about five seconds until the indicator LED
starts flashing, then follow the in-app prompts to add the device, enter your WiFi
password, and complete the pairing process. You’ll start receiving instant notifications
right away.
